Surfing round the web for someplace unique to consume the Oxford side of the Cotswolds I was delighted to locate the Nut Tree with its lately awarded Michelin Star. Again this was very good with a accurate depth of flavour that went completely with the Alsace Pinot Blanc that we had selected. The wine list was not enormous but satisfactory and the mark up possibly not unreasonable.
For primary program we had Slow Roasted Stomach of Pork that genuinely hit the spot, a true favourite of mine. A Salmon Fishcake with a Gratin of Spinach and Tomato Butter Sauce that was bursting with flavours and every single morsel was cleared up! For a sweet we shared a souffl� of lime and coconut with some mango sorbet that was just sublime. My bill came to �82 and compared to what you can spend to sample Michelin star meals, incredibly sensible. The support was unhurried, productive and friendly, always a winning blend. I will definitely return offered the opportunity and do not intend to depart it another 25 years and we would both completely advise it to any person going down the M40 or anybody fortunate sufficient to dwell shut by. It would probably also be a great thought to spend a go to just before the charges go up!
